HERITAGE OPEN DAYS 2022
The Heritage Open Days 2022 are from 9th to the 18th September.
We hope to be open to visitors most days but be aware that we have a Service of Holy Communion 9.30am on Wednesday, and there may be some Occasional Services during the week as well.
Check here for special events along the way, but our main Open Day will be Saturday 17th September, when we hope to have some light refreshments and to take parties on a tour of our amazing Double-Helix Staircase and Bellringing Chamber.
Building open around service times. For other times please contact us | Working towards becoming a Dementia Friendly Parish |
Situated in South Baileygate, under the shadow of the once great Pontefract Castle, All Saints Church stands as a living memorial to those who, down the ages and in many different ways have Worshipped and supported the Work of God in our town.
A place of worship since at least c.1300AD, All Saints has survived not only the destructive bombardments of multiple Castle Sieges during the Civil War, but also the many social upheavals of the last 700 or so years.
It is still very much alive and active today, both Spiritually and as a local landmark of significant historical interest. It is the Worship Centre for a community of Christians from Pontefract and the surrounding area who come to share fellowship with each other in communion with God and to sing His Praise and Worship Him in and through our lives.
